MLRO

We are looking for an MLRO with experience in the jurisdictions of Lithuania or Estonia, who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AML/CTF requirements, managing financial crime risks, interacting with regulators, and submitting required reports.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing compliance with Lithuanian and Estonian AML/CTF regulations and MiCA requirements
• Developing, reviewing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and framework documents in line with the Lithuanian, Estonian market requirements
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company standards
• Conducting internal audits on compliance with AML legislation
• Preparing and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) to the relevant authorities
• Training the team on AML/CTF obligations and regulatory compliance
• Developing internal control mechanisms to reduce risks related to regulatory compliance
• Interacting with Lithuanian/Estonian financial and governmental regulators, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Constantly monitoring changes in the financial regulations of Lithuania and Estonia related to financial crime prevention and compliance
• Ensuring full compliance with local and international AML/CTF requirements

Key competencies:

• At least 3 years of experience in an MLRO role
• Higher legal education
• Experience working with fintech, banking, or crypto projects
• Knowledge of EU regulatory requirements, particularly in payment systems, electronic money, and MiCA
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian and Estonian compliance and financial regulation
• Experience interacting with international and local regulators
• Proficiency in Estonian or Lithuanian at Upper-Intermediate level or higher
• Proficiency in English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher
• Knowledge of Russian is a plus
• Certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, EIMF) are a plus
